Is the moon upside down in the Northern Hemisphere?

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but pretty much all this one says is "Definitely Yes".

Sometimes it's easy to forget that we actually live on a sphere, and all the weird little quirks of geometry that that involves. Stuff like daytime and night time happening at the same time. Or the moon being inverted in the opposite hemisphere. Or the fact that Australians, as far as our view of things is concerned, really are standing upside down. At least from an astronomical reference point.
